Voigtlaender Nokton 40 f1.4 V

Voigtlaender Nokton 40 f1.4 V

This is the fifth in the series. It looks a little better but I've had to add a lot of contrast to this one.
There's a couple more to go in the series, and I'm trying to find the time (and weather) to try this lens out again without any filters on.

Voigtlaender Nokton 40 f1.4 IV

The fourth in the series. I like the finished look of the these files. It seems that all Voigtlaender lenses gives you this as I have 3 at the moment and they all look the same. Really nice.
I'm thinkting about the Ultron 28 f2 lens at the moment, but it's a hefty price to pay especially with the new lenses Olympus and Panasonic are just bringing out onto the market.

Voigtlaender Nokton 40 f1.4 III

The third in the series. I think you can still see the lack of contrast in this one. Not as crisp and clear as I'd hoped for.
I hope it'll be better without the filter. Just finding the time is a major problem right now.

Here's the second of the Nokton images. See what I mean about the not so good bokeh.
Let's see what the others bring tomorrow.

Voigtlaender Nokton 40 f1.4

Voigtlaender Nokton 40 f1.4

I'd heard so much about this lens, small sharp and basically just great. Well, I'm not overly impressed with it right now. I got it off ebay which might be why the person sold it but I did notice there was a filter attached. Looking at the LCD after taking the shots, they looked fine but, on downloading them I noticed a ditinct lack of contrast in nearly all of the images. Bokeh didn't look too good either. I'll post some five images here in the following days so you can hudge for youselves. I think I'll take it out for another run before I committ myself to a final vedrict.
And, I've bought that very expesive hood for it and I'll take off the filter. These filters are the main cause for a lack of contrast.

Olympus OM 50 f1.8 Auto-S V

Olympus OM 50 f1.8 Auto-S V

This is nearly the same as the image taken with the Tokina 24 f2.8 posted a couple of days ago. I just wanted to see how well they did against each other. Result: Not a lot of difference really unless you go and look for it. Both well worth the money and I think I'll be using both quite a bit.
This is the last of the images with this lens for now.

Olympus 50 f1.8 Auto-S IV

Back to the Olympus manual focus lenses again. Still with the Oly 50 f1.8. I am still amazed how good these old cheap lenses are and it is so easy to focus with the Olympus EVF. A bit expensive but well worth the money.

Tokina FD 24 f2.8 VI

This is the last one for the Tokina in the series. I'm quite please with the images it produces (and for the price). There's still some Olympus 50 f1.8 to come, followed by some Pentax manual focus lenses.
