HDR Tests
One of the major advantages of digital photography has been the development of software packages allowing us to increase the dynamic range of a scene. 3, 5, 7 or even more images can be taken, while varying exposure for each image. Then, feeding these images through a software package to blend them together to incease the dynamic range of the scene.
Below are the result my own test using such a software package. I found it to be excellent when moderately done. I persoonally do don't like these images when over done. Also, it can lead to images with low contrast, which are not to my taste.
All the images within the gallery were done hand held (although I really would recommend a tripod if doing this seriously). Bracketed shots -2 0 +2 put together in Photomatix.
