A few days ago I posted some images from this camera as a little taste of what was to come. I'm not certain what to make of it as it's not the fastest camera on the planet but the files seem to be just fine. I always wanted to try a Leica but a Rangefinder is not for me. I didn't want a fixed lens camera because I've got my X100S for that and it's a great camera. With an equivalent lens range of 24-70 in 35mm terms it would be ideal for everyday walks etc. I'm using the Olympus EVF on it and it works really well. What really bugs me is that the camera is a bit slow in operation, not just focusing but everything about it. I'll post a few images to show what the camera is capable of, but whether I'll keep it is another question.

This is the last image from the RX1 for the present. I just wanted to show you how well these images convert to monochrome.

My thoughts on this one, simply fantastic. You've got all the tones from white all the way through to black. It's what I attempt with my monochrome images, but fail most of the time.

The reason I photograph is because I can't draw, paint or play a musical instument. I just admire those people who can and I try to bring my artistic side into my photographs. I think a lot of people are like myself, they want to do all of these things but they just don't have the ability for it.

This is one amazing piece of technology. Very sharp with super rendition. If you can live with the 35mm lens then this is a camera for you. One thing is a little annoying for me is the external viewfinder (a must for me) but you get used to it. I've also added a grip for better holding. Really a nice camera and one that will teach you how to use a 35mm lens. I'm still learning.
