There was enough separation here to blur out the background although the previous post and the image above were both shot wide open at f4. I was just seeing how accurate manual focus was using this combination and as you can see it really is accurate. Easier than I thought on this system, and I'm really impressed. Since aquiring the X-T1 I've been neglecting my M43 system because shooting with the X system is fun, and I'm sure those who haven't tried this system can't really understand what all the fuss is about. Just go out and try one, then you'll understand....and get hooked on the X system.

06/13/14 Fujifilm X-T1 - Zeiss Tessar 85 f4 ZM T*997
X-T1 Focal Length: 50 mm Aperture: f/1.0 Exposure Time: 1/180 sec ISO: 400 06/12/14 Fujifilm X-T1 - Zeiss Tessar 85 f4 ZM T*Bokeh test again. In certain situations the bokeh can be a little funky. Look at the water in the bottom left of the image. I don't really know what causes this (as I'm not really the theoretical sort of guy) but I've seen it before on other systems. It happens with the longer focal length lenses of 85mm and upwards and on different camera systems. This has nothing to do with the Fujifilm X-T1 because I have alsoseen it with M43 cameras. If anyone out there can explain this I would love to know. Please comment is you have any idea what this is. 996
X-T1 Focal Length: 50 mm Aperture: f/1.0 Exposure Time: 1/300 sec ISO: 400 06/11/14 Fujifilm X-T1 - Zeiss Tessar 85 f4 ZM T*Another great lens from Zeiss that matches up very nicely on the X-T1. The feel of these lenses makes you want to use them. I've now got the 50 f2 Planar and the 85 f4 Tessar lenses and you know you've got quality in the hand because they're pretty heavy but the quality is simply superb. The lens is not perfect by all means but it's good enough for me. I hope the following images can persuade you that this lens is a great relatively cheap 85mm lens. 986
X-T1 Focal Length: 50 mm Aperture: f/1.0 Exposure Time: 1/35 sec ISO: 400 06/10/14 Fujifilm X-T1 - Zeiss Planar 50 f2 ZM T*Last image from this combination for the present. This is the bull in front of the Stock Exchenge in Frankfurt. Everybody grabs thise horns before having their photo taken. You can tell how many people do this because the horns are all shiny and worn. 902
X-T1 Focal Length: 50 mm Aperture: f/1.0 Exposure Time: 1/1200 sec ISO: 400 06/09/14 Fujifilm X-T1 - Zeiss Planar 50 f2 ZM T*I just love using this combination, it's fun to use and it makes you want to go out and photograph some more. 922
X-T1 Focal Length: 50 mm Aperture: f/1.0 Exposure Time: 1/900 sec ISO: 400 06/08/14 Fujifilm X-T1 - Zeiss Planar 50 f2 ZM T*These images that I like from the Zeiss Planar 50 f2 just don't stop coming. Only a couple more . 866
X-T1 Focal Length: 50 mm Aperture: f/1.0 Exposure Time: 1/1100 sec ISO: 400 06/07/14 Fujifilm X-T1 - Zeiss Planar 50 f2 ZM T*A silhouette of Frankfurts skyline. I thought it would look better than blowing the sky. 906
X-T1 Focal Length: 50 mm Aperture: f/1.0 Exposure Time: 1/3500 sec ISO: 400 06/06/14 Fujifilm X-T1 - Zeiss Planar 50 f2 ZM T*This is one of the many cycle taxis you can find around Frankfurt. Here a tourist was getting a city tour during a period of nice weather. 888
X-T1 Focal Length: 50 mm Aperture: f/1.0 Exposure Time: 1/4000 sec ISO: 400 06/05/14 Fujifilm X-T1 - Zeiss Planar 50 f2 ZM T*The first camera I bought when digital was getting popular was the Canon 300D. I'm sure Canon sold many thousands of these because it was the first digital SLR camera you could buy under a $1000/€1000 (depending on where you live). The last Canon camera I bought was the FF 5D (the original). It was and is a great camera. Nowadays I prefer using an evf with live view where I can control the exposure much better than just using an ovf. My Canon system has been sitting on the shelf now for quite a few months and I don't even have a wish to use it anymore. That is why I've sold off most of my Canon system and the rest is going on ebay pretty soon. I am certain I will never use it again. I don't do any sport photography so AFC is not very important to me. Most of my subjects don't move or move very slowly. 893
X-T1 Focal Length: 50 mm Aperture: f/1.0 Exposure Time: 1/15 sec ISO: 100 06/04/14 Fujifilm X-T1 - Zeiss Planar 50 f2 ZM T*When I first posted an image from this combination, I did warn you that there quite a few more to come. I'm so impressed by this combination that I don't want to use anything else right now. It's not just the lens but everything about the X-T1 is nearly perfect. It doesn't matter which Fujifilm X system camera I use right now, the metering seems to be spot on and the colours suit me to just fine. It seems to me that everyone who tries these X system cameras are very impressed with them, and some just sell off their DSLR systems, me included. More on that in the next post. 901
