The third in the series. I think you can still see the lack of contrast in this one. Not as crisp and clear as I'd hoped for.
I hope it'll be better without the filter. Just finding the time is a major problem right now.

E-PL1 Focal Length: 0 mm Aperture: f/1.0 Exposure Time: 1/60 sec ISO: 200 08/04/11 Voigtlaender Nokton 40 f1.4 IIHere's the second of the Nokton images. See what I mean about the not so good bokeh.
Let's see what the others bring tomorrow. 1680
E-PL1 Focal Length: 0 mm Aperture: f/1.0 Exposure Time: 1/60 sec ISO: 200 08/03/11 Voigtlaender Nokton 40 f1.4I'd heard so much about this lens, small sharp and basically just great. Well, I'm not overly impressed with it right now. I got it off ebay which might be why the person sold it but I did notice there was a filter attached. Looking at the LCD after taking the shots, they looked fine but, on downloading them I noticed a ditinct lack of contrast in nearly all of the images. Bokeh didn't look too good either. I'll post some five images here in the following days so you can hudge for youselves. I think I'll take it out for another run before I committ myself to a final vedrict.
And, I've bought that very expesive hood for it and I'll take off the filter. These filters are the main cause for a lack of contrast. 1674

07/28/11 Olympus OM 50 f1.8 Auto-S VThis is nearly the same as the image taken with the Tokina 24 f2.8 posted a couple of days ago. I just wanted to see how well they did against each other. Result: Not a lot of difference really unless you go and look for it. Both well worth the money and I think I'll be using both quite a bit.
This is the last of the images with this lens for now. 1606
E-PL1 Focal Length: 0 mm Aperture: f/1.0 Exposure Time: 1/1600 sec ISO: 200 07/27/11 Olympus 50 f1.8 Auto-S IVBack to the Olympus manual focus lenses again. Still with the Oly 50 f1.8. I am still amazed how good these old cheap lenses are and it is so easy to focus with the Olympus EVF. A bit expensive but well worth the money. 1735

07/26/11 Tokina FD 24 f2.8 VIThis is the last one for the Tokina in the series. I'm quite please with the images it produces (and for the price). There's still some Olympus 50 f1.8 to come, followed by some Pentax manual focus lenses. 2597
E-P2 Focal Length: 0 mm Aperture: f/1.0 Exposure Time: 1/3200 sec ISO: 100 07/25/11 Tokina FD 24 f2.8 VColours aren't too bad in this one.
Where you have to watch with these manual lenses is when you have the sun in the viewer or very near to it.
That will kill the contrast for you. 1372
