This is Château du Haut-Koenigsbourg located in the Alsace region of France, just west of the Rhine river. Very impressive indeed. A lot of the castle has been reconstructed over the years (as is still in progress) but still impressive. 

The image taken on an E-PL1 and Olympus mZD 14-150 lens (I just like pairing the two and has been up to now my travel combination). Conversion to monochrome done in Nik SFX which gives you endless control over how you want the image to appear. The next couple of images will also be in monochrome, developed in exactly the same way as this one.
