As you can see I have now purchased a Fujifilm X-E1 camera. I bought it together with the Fujinon 18-55 f/2.8-4.0 lens. I won't compare this kit lens with any other because it really is a quality lens with an aperture of f/2.8-4.0. Most kit lenses are in the range of f/3.5-5.6 or there abouts. Build quality is good and image quality is remarkable. I'll be talking more about the images from this lens in due course.
The image above shows the X-E1 with the Pentax SMC 31 f1.8 lens. One of the best lenses ever produced and is very sharp with very good micro-contrast. Being an FA lens and made for full frame Pentax cameras, it sports an aperture ring which is a real plus. Another Pentax lens that I will put on the X-E1 is the Pentax 43 f/1.9 lens. The reason for it being 43mm is because it really relates to the angle of view of the human eye. Most believe it's 50mm because that used to be the standard lens but it is actually 43mm.
