This is the X-E1 with the 18-55 f/2.8-4.0 lens. Most of my cameras are black but when I saw the X-E1 in silver I went for it. I really wanted an X-Pro1 but as I read the problems (or quirks) with that camera I decided against it, and I still think that was the right decision. The X-E1 is smaller, faster and suits me fine. It has the same sensor as the X-Pro1 so image quality is the same. The EVF is better in the X-E1 and that is also a plus factor in its favour. It just suits my way of photographing better than the X-Pro1. I never use the LCD to photograph, it's just not me.
I am now waiting for the weather to get a little warmer and I'll be out and about with this combination. Right now I plan on expanding my lens arsenal for this system with the anounced XF 55-200 telezoom which seems (on paper at least) to be of high quality.
In the meantime, I'm really enjoying using some manual lenses on the X-E1 as manual focus is very good with the "shimmering" effect when in focus.
