Olympus E-M5 - Olympus mZD 60 f2.8 Macro

Olympus E-M5 - Olympus mZD 60 f2.8 Macro

I haven't posted a lot from this lens, actually it could only be twice. It's not that I don't like the lens; on the contrary, I think it's a wonderful lens to use. I just don't get around to doing macro shots at present. Just how things develop I suppose.

Although all the shots in the image above are macro I think the lens is also great for portraits albeit a little long for some people. Because I like using long lenses it suits my needs perfectly. I could say it's one of the best lenses in the Olympus arsenal at present but they do have some lovely prime lenses. Olympus have always been good at these primes and if you haven't tried their OM series of lenses, you should. Build quality is excellent and the clarity of the images from these old lenses are a joy to look at.

Michael Reichmann over at The Luminous Landscape site has a good article about the Olympus Zuiko lenses that's well worth a read. You can find it here.
