It really doesn't get much sharper than this. Focus was very easy and very quick. Focus was on the large sticker and lens was set at f4.

06/03/14 Fujifilm X-T1 - Zeiss Planar 50 f2 ZM T*1092
X-T1 Focal Length: 50 mm Aperture: f/1.0 Exposure Time: 1/1200 sec ISO: 200 06/02/14 Fujifilm X-T1 - Zeiss Planar 50 f2 ZM T*Shot at f2 and you can judge if the bokeh is to your liking. Personally I like it, not so harsh as some older rangefinder or SLR lenses. 956
X-T1 Focal Length: 50 mm Aperture: f/1.0 Exposure Time: 1/1600 sec ISO: 200 06/01/14 Fujifilm X-T1 - Zeiss Planar 50 f2 ZM T*Excellent lens rendition coupled with the super X-T1 sensor and great metering. It just can't get much better than this. 934
X-T1 Focal Length: 50 mm Aperture: f/1.0 Exposure Time: 1/280 sec ISO: 200 05/31/14 Fujifilm X-T1 - Zeiss Planar 50 f2 ZM T*Another shot of the Frankfurt skyline (well part of it anyway). Everything in this image is very sharp from corner to corner and was shot at an aperture of f4. 930
X-T1 Focal Length: 50 mm Aperture: f/1.0 Exposure Time: 1/850 sec ISO: 200 05/30/14 Fujifilm X-T1 - Zeiss Planar 50 f2 ZM T*This is the entrance to the museum. The image in the previous post is to the right of this image. Maybe you can't see it at this resolution, this image is extremely sharp. I said a couple of posts ago that I was going to be posting a couple from this combination but it's going to be quite a few. Looking at the mages I think were quite ok after an outing of 5 hours just walking the streets, I think they deserve to be posted here. I'm so impressed with this combination, I don't think I need to try another 50mm (75mm field of view which I like) lens again, unless I need autofocus of course. 875
X-T1 Focal Length: 50 mm Aperture: f/1.0 Exposure Time: 1/680 sec ISO: 200 05/29/14 Fujifilm X-T1 - Zeiss Planar 50 f2 ZM T*Shot at f2, focus was on the wall of the museum. Focusing was easy with the X-T1. I wanted to capture the rich colours against the sandstone wall. 1046
X-T1 Focal Length: 50 mm Aperture: f/1.0 Exposure Time: 1/500 sec ISO: 200 05/28/14 Fujifilm X-T1 - Zeiss Planar 50 f2 ZM T*If you're looking for a normal 50mm manual focus lens for your X-T1, look no further than the Zeiss Planar 50 f2 ZM T*. It simply is the best 50mm lens I've used on the X system. Focusing is easy and the images have a certain pop to them. This lens will be glued to my X-T1 and the X-E2 will be used for the other lenses. I must say that the v2 firmware for the X-E2 has improved it considerably, especially the EVF. The next couple of posts will be from this combination and I'll just leave you to look at the images without much text added to the post. 972
X-T1 Focal Length: 50 mm Aperture: f/1.0 Exposure Time: 1/1900 sec ISO: 200 05/27/14 Fujifilm X-T1 - Fujinon XF 60 f2.4 R MacroWhen I looked at the above image my first thought was "Why did I take an image of a bit of carpet"? Actually, it is some sort of flower they use to spruce up a bouquet. Quite amazing isn't it. I'm certain that XF 60 f2.4 macro is going to get a lot of use, and not only as a macro lens; I just wish the hood was a tad smaller than it is, but I'm certain I can find something smaller that will also do the job. 1002
X-T1 Focal Length: 60 mm Aperture: f/22.0 Exposure Time: 12/1 sec ISO: 100 05/26/14 Fujifilm X-T1 - Fujinon XF 60 f2.4 R MacroThe word on the Internet is that evry manufacturer can produce a sharp macro lens, and I don't believe I've come across a soft macro lens since I've got back into photography some years ago, and I've used quite a few macro lenses. The thing is, some lenses are a joy to use and others I just didn't care for although all produced sharp, contrasty images on the system they were mounted to. This lens is really fun to use and the best thing about it for me is that it's not big at all. Actually it's quite small when mounted on the X-T1 (apart from the hood) and balances nicely, even for hand-held work. 1183
X-T1 Focal Length: 60 mm Aperture: f/20.0 Exposure Time: 13/10 sec ISO: 200 05/25/14 Fujifilm X-T1 - Fujinon XF 60 f2.4 R MacroA true macro lens can get to 1:1 magnification, so the XF 60 F2.4 macro lens isn't a true macro, only being a 1:2 lens. However, for me personally, it does the job and it's very sharp. Having processed a few images taken with this lens I've been asking myself how sharp can a lens get. I really can't imagine geting any sharper than this lens. It really is superb. 981
