To make good images I believe you have to be confident about your equipment, and feel comfortable using it. If not, then your energy is going to be going towards worrying about your equipment. You shouldn't have to thinking about that one little bit. If you know it works, and works well, then channel everything towards producing good work.

This is how I feel about the Tamron 14-150 lens. Do I trust it? Not sure yet. Does it work well? Not as well as it should is my feeling. Am I going to get rid of it? Well, not yet; I'll have to use it a little more. Maybe I'm missing something. Or, it could be it works differently from the Olympus and Panasonic lenses. It's definitely not as snappy as the Olympus 14-150. The Panasonic 14-140 II is also faster.

I'll be using this lens a little more on the GX8 but right now the best results comes from the GX7 with this lens.

Yes I do own quite a few cameras and some get forgotten along the way. Just to prove to myself that all the new cameras and lenses I aquire are much better than those of yesteryear, I take one or the other out of mothballs and take them out for a spin. Here it was the Sony Nex-7 and the not much liked 16-50 kit lens. Looking at the images I took with this combination didn't prove a thing to me. The Nex-7 is still a great camera, as long as you don't set a too high an ISO on it and the not much liked kit lens does just fine. I think I must have a good copy. It performs even better on the Nex-5n. Still have 2 of those, not because I can't sell them but because they're still very good cameras and I like using them. The problem is too much equipment and too little time. I still have to work to earn some money to pay the bills .
