Again with the 18.8mm lens stopped down to f5.6 for a lot of depth. It takes me time to get used to a system, especially when a new sensor comes into play. I had thought that f5.6 would give me more depth of field that what I actually got so that was a surprise. Must remember to stop down some more next time but then with these small sensors, diffraction kicks in relatively quickly. I don't think stopping down past f8 will do much for image quality. That should be the limit.

NIKON 1 V1 Focal Length: 18.5 mm Aperture: f/5.6 Exposure Time: 1/50 sec ISO: 100 06/01/12 Leica DG Summilux 25 f1.4Last image for now from the 25 f1.4. Notice the bokeh here, quite nice I think.
That look I'm getting int his image is the "Ok, that's enough" look. I've come to know it quite well recently when I'm using my wife as a model because she's the only other person around. I tend to sneak a picture in once in a while when she's not expecting it. Problem is, she knows me too well. 2671
E-P3 Focal Length: 25 mm Aperture: f/1.4 Exposure Time: 1/4000 sec ISO: 200 05/31/12 Leica DG Summilux 25 f1.4I just had to take this image. When my better half bought these it really ticked me out. Well you can't miss her anyway. I'm astounded however about how many women come up to her to comment on the great shoes that she's wearing, and many asking where she bought them from. This must be a woman thing because I've never seen men do that.
Anyway, just look again how sharp this image is. I think this is going to get used quite a lot, together with the Olympus 45 f1.8 which is just as sharp. Two great partrait lenses which I will be showing a couple of post in the next few days. 1919
E-P3 Focal Length: 25 mm Aperture: f/5.6 Exposure Time: 1/160 sec ISO: 200 05/30/12 Leica DG Summilux 25 f1.4This is a good example of framing. Notice you have a frame within a frame within a frame? And it was taken with the 25 f1.4 lens. Really marvelous. Not in the square format this time though. 2091
E-P3 Focal Length: 25 mm Aperture: f/5.6 Exposure Time: 1/60 sec ISO: 200 05/29/12 Leica DG Summilux 25 f1.4What a stunner this lens is. A must for m4/3 users. The hood ia a real pain to stow away but apart from that what's not to like about this lens. Acting as a 50mm lens in 35mm format it has proved to be a favourite of many m4/3 users. It's not cheap but in this case you really get what you paid for.
This image was taken at f5.6 and is sharp from corner to corner. Hmm...is this going to replace my manual focus lenses? 1918
