I think this turned out really well for a P&S. It was really a snapshot taken on the spur of the moment. Again, it's one camera that really has me stumped sometimes. Personally I think there's a minor bug in the firmware somewhere because some images are so blown out or the blacks are so blocked and for no reason at all. Doesn't happen every time but when it does this you can really delete the image. No recovery possible.

03/10/12 Samsung EX11832
EX1 Focal Length: 0 mm Aperture: f/2.4 Exposure Time: 1/90 sec ISO: 100 03/05/12 Samsung EX1Another image from this little camera. I really have a love hate relationship with it. Sometimes it gets the image totally wrong in processing and at other times, like this one, it's simply amazing. I normally use aperture mode with all my cameras 99% of the time. I was using the tilt and swivel screen here with the camera stabalized on a table in front of me. These screens do come in useful at times like these but I must admit I don't use it as often as I should. 1798
EX1 Focal Length: 0 mm Aperture: f/5.0 Exposure Time: 1/350 sec ISO: 80 12/23/11 Samsung EX1I like this one from the EX1. When this camera nails focus (has to have good light), it really does produce some nice images. I just held this down near the groud while kneeling and pressed the shutter release. I really didn't think anything would come of the photo. Another surprise. 1875
EX1 Focal Length: 0 mm Aperture: f/5.5 Exposure Time: 1/60 sec ISO: 100 12/19/11 Samsung EX1Again look at the detail and sharpness this camera is capable of. In this image the backgroud separation is even better than the previous image. Very impressive indeed. 1709
EX1 Focal Length: 0 mm Aperture: f/2.8 Exposure Time: 1/350 sec ISO: 80 12/18/11 Samsung EX1This camera has a very small sensor and not really suitable for backgroud separation. However, it does have a fast lens at f1.8 and the image shows what's possible with it. Some out of focus area and the bokeh isn't all that bad. 2212
EX1 Focal Length: 0 mm Aperture: f/2.7 Exposure Time: 1/500 sec ISO: 80 12/17/11 Samsung EX1Really sharp with great detail. Light was muted and even. Perfect for this type of photography. 9055
EX1 Focal Length: 0 mm Aperture: f/2.9 Exposure Time: 1/500 sec ISO: 80 05/08/11 Samsung EX1This is the EX1 photo. It really is just a quick snap taken when my better half wasn't looking. Dynamic range seems fine and sharpness is there too. Taken in raw format and converted with Silkypix. 2247
EX1 Focal Length: 0 mm Aperture: f/5.0 Exposure Time: 1/350 sec ISO: 80 05/08/11 The Little Point and Shoot (P&S) Cameras.Went out today for a long bike ride. The weather was great (but some might say bad for image making), very sunny and warm. After deciding I didn't want to take anything big with me on the bike I decided on the Panasonic LX5 and the Samsung EX1. Both extremely good cameras. The EX1 surprised me today. I like the images it produces, I think I'll use it some more from now on.
So here are the images from today. Enjoy. 1473
