Take a look at yesterdays post. Look really hard at the image and then come back to this one and compare the two. Notice a semblence? It's actually the same place, just photographed differently. One vertical and one horizontal. What I'm trying to say here is that always, always photograph a scene from every angle and in as many formats as you can. This includes vertical, horizontal, try a 1:1 ratio or in 16:9 ratio. You will be amazed, I'm sure of it.

06/05/12 Made to be PhotographedThis range of hills (well big hills) were made to be photographed. Located about an hours drive north-east of Malaga, southern Spain, it's not a region readily travelled by tourists. Most are down on the coast in those hideous hotels, lounging in the sun during the day and hitting the bars at night. Don't get me wrong, if that's what pushes their buttons fine but me...I much prefer these places for their beauty and the quiet that I like on my holidays. Lets me photograph in peace as well. 2028
E-P3 Focal Length: 25 mm Aperture: f/8.0 Exposure Time: 1/250 sec ISO: 200 06/04/12 Favourite Photo so far in 2012I think this is my favourite photo so far in 2012. Everything just seemed to fit together for this one.
Even one of my walking colleagues managed to get into the image (top right if you didn't notice). Again taken with an E-P3 and my beloved mZD 14-150 lens. The contours, the light and the colours just made me stop in my tracks. This wasn't planned at all and it was getting near the end of our hike on this day. I was just knackered and was thinking of that bottle of beer waiting for me at the Finca. I was lucky to have spotted this one. 1617

06/02/12 Andalusian LandscapesTaken with the E-P3 and mZD 14-150 lens half way up a mountain. I had just stopped for a beather and looked to my left. I just liked the way the mountainside broke the frame in half with the different coulours either side of the ridge. Many believe that the countryside in southern Spain is brown and arid, but after the winter months which do bring some rain, it turns green with an mazing display of different flowers. 1853

05/17/12 Great HolidayStill trying to figure things out here, hence the post.
Had a great holiday at the Finca in Spain a few weeks ago. What a great place to spend some time. 1983
E-PL1 Focal Length: 9 mm Aperture: f/8.0 Exposure Time: 1/400 sec ISO: 200 03/31/11 TextureI decided to get in close to some rocks on my visit to Spain. It's really is amazing what you see when taking a telephoto lens to get in close to something. I suppose you don't really see this when you are just walking by. 1946
E-PL1 Focal Length: 45 mm Aperture: f/8.0 Exposure Time: 1/200 sec ISO: 200 03/27/11 Sierra Nevada, SpainI took this panorama of the Sierra Nevada mountain range from the the Al Hambra in Grananda. It was quite hazy at the time but I think it's acceptable, especially since it's the only one I have. 2744

03/25/11 Lone TreeSpotted this lone tree growing along one of the many paths traversed to get to mountain top. Photographing this gave me a good excuse to stop and have a breather. I just like the gree against the very blue sky. What I have noticed is that a blue sky is not just a blue sky. In southern countries the blue seems to be a deeper shade of blue. I prefer it to the blue of the northern European countries. I try and take in everytime, but it impresses me again the next time I see it. 2200
E-PL1 Focal Length: 17 mm Aperture: f/8.0 Exposure Time: 1/640 sec ISO: 200 03/24/11 CloudsHave I mentioned how much I enjoy photographing clouds? Well, I do, just in case I didn't mention it. We were out on a little 4 hour walk when I looked behind me. This is what I saw. That cloud coming over the hill looks like it had some precipitation in it. It did. One good thing though, we got back before the heavens opened up. I'll be posting an image soon showing what actually came down. Not nice for those that were still out.
Some nice contrast here between the sky and the very yellow gorse that seems to everywhere in the Spanish mountains. I also like the olive tree on the center left. Those branches makes the tree come to life. 3446
E-PL1 Focal Length: 29 mm Aperture: f/6.3 Exposure Time: 1/800 sec ISO: 200 03/24/11 Spring at LastAt last! Seems I've been waiting for months for spring to arrive. Well, in Spain anyway. This bee was busy last week, all his interest was geared for the flowers now open. Once back home, I realised how much sooner spring arrived in Spain. Had a bit of a shock as I stepped off the aeroplane. Anyway, won't be long now. 2271
